Postdoctoral Research Position<br>
in Theoretical Nuclear Physics<br>
OHIO UNIVERSITY<br>

The Nuclear Theory Group at Ohio University anticipates hiring at least
one<br>
post-doctoral research associate to take up a position beginning in Fall<br>
of 2012. (An earlier start date could be negotiated if it is desired.)<br>
Applicants must have a Ph. D. in physics (or anticipate a Ph.D. in hand<br>
by September 2012). The research interests of the group cover<br>
a broad range, including few-hadron systems, effective field theories,<br>
light exotic nuclei, and the physics of hot and dense matter<br>
with applications to astrophysics as well as heavy-ion reactions.<br>
We expect the successful candidate to contribute to these research
efforts.<br>
Thus applicants should have a strong research record and display
significant<br>
initiative to complement their research skills. The appointment will<br>
initially be for one year. Renewal for a second year is highly probable,<br>
but is contingent on funding and job performance.<br>
