Physics Department at the University of Connecticut, in
partnership with
Jefferson Lab,<br>
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in
experimental nuclear physics. <br>
We are
searching for an individual with a primary interest in the physics
program of
hadronic <br>
and nuclear physics carried out at Jefferson Lab. The successful
individual will be expected <br>
to
build a strong research program that will enhance the current
programs at the
<br>
University of Connecticut and Jefferson Lab.
The primary academic appointment will be at the <br>
UConn Storrs campus with
expectations to conduct research both at UConn and JLab.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The
position is a nine-month tenure-track position at the University
of Connecticut
intended <br>
primarily for a junior faculty member at the Assistant Professor
level; however, exceptional <br>
candidates may be considered for an Associate
Professor or a Full Professor position. <br>
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physics or a
related field, have a demonstrated ability<br>
to initiate and lead research, an
established record of publications in scientific journals, <br>
and good teaching
skills. Salary will be based on
qualifications and experience. <br>
The
appointment is intended to start in August, 2013. </p>
