DUTIES:</p>
<p>Jefferson Laboratory (JLab) invites applications for
post-doctoral positions in the JLab Physics Analysis Center
to work specifically on Amplitude Analysis for baryon and
meson production.<br>
Extracting the details of the hadron spectrum is a key
component of the future program of the Lab and the search
for gluonic excitations is a primary motivation for the
present construction of the 12 GeV upgrade. The successful
candidates will have a strong record of research
accomplishments in theoretical or experimental physics, with
some understanding of the theoretical and practical
applications of partial wave analysis. A description of the
Jefferson Laboratory Theory Center may be found at
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/theory/">http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/theory/</a>.</p>

<p>PhD in nuclear or particle physics. The successful
candidate(s) will have a strong record of research
accomplishments in theoretical or experimental physics.<br>
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, with a
description of their experience, especially that relevant to
Amplitude Analyses, to Dr. Michael Pennington
(<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:michaelp@jlab.org">michaelp@jlab.org</a>).<br>
They should also send copies of any recent (un)published
work, and arrange to have three recommendation letters sent
to <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:mfox@jlab.org">mfox@jlab.org</a>. In addition to working on Amplitude
Analysis projects, the postholder will be free to spend up
to 25% of their time on independent research either in
theoretical hadron physics, or as part of one of the JLab
experimental groups (and should indicate their preference in
their application).<br>
