<pre><b>Research Associate Position in Experimental Nuclear Physics at TUNL/Duke University</b></pre>
<pre>The Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory (TUNL) and the Department</pre>
<pre>of Physics at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina seek a</pre>
<pre>postdoctoral Research Associate with strong interest and experience in</pre>
<pre>experimental nuclear structure and nuclear reaction studies using gamma-ray</pre>
<pre>and neutron beams. The accelerator facilities at TUNL for general research</pre>
<pre>include the High-Intensity Gamma-ray Source (HIGS) and a tandem van de</pre>
<pre>Graaff accelerator. The HIGS facility has the most intense mono-energetic</pre>
<pre>and polarized gamma-ray beam in the world. This position is funded by</pre>
<pre>grants from the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security</pre>
<pre>Administration and the Department of Homeland Security Domestic Nuclear</pre>
<pre>Defense Office. The research associated with the position will be carried out</pre>
<pre>at HIGS using linearly polarized gamma-ray beams and in the tandem</pre>
<pre>laboratory using fast neutron beams.</pre>
<pre>Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in physics and experience in</pre>
<pre>experimental nuclear physics research. Applications received before</pre>
