<div>The Medium Energy Physics Group at Mississippi State
University invites applications for a Postdoctoral
Research Associate position. The group has research
interests which include studies of nucleon structure and
hadronic physics at Jefferson Lab and Fermilab, such as
the precise measurement of the proton charge radius (the
PRad experiment) in Hall B, precision measurement of
charge symmetry violation in quark distributions, search
for the onset of color transparency both in Hall-C and
Hall-B, and the study of the</div>
<div>sea distributions, EMC effect, and the parton energy
loss with the Drell-Yan experiment at Fermilab. The
group also has an active program in studies of
fundamental symmetries, such as the QWeak experiment at
JLab and a new neutron EDM experiment at the Oak Ridge
National Laboratory.</div>

</div>
<div>We are looking for candidates who will be stationed
at Jefferson Lab and will lead our effort towards
installing, commissioning and running the upcoming PRad
experiment in Hall-B. The candidate would also work on
the Hall-B EG6 data-set analyses, CLAS-6 data mining
projects, and the CLAS-12 software development. The
Candidate will be encouraged to actively participate in
the development of new experimental proposals for JLab.</div>

</div>
<div>A PhD in experimental nuclear or particle physics or
related fields is required. The initial appointment is
for one year, and can commence as early as Aug 16, 2014.
The appointment can be extended for a maximum of two
additional years, based on mutual satisfaction and
continued funding.</div>

<div>Screening of applications will begin immediately and
will continue until the position is filled. Applicants
should submit a vita and brief statement of research
interests, and should have three letters of
recommendation sent to: Prof. Lamiaa El Fassi (<a
