Physics group at the University of Virginia invites applications
for a Research Associate. This position is will participate in the
NOvA experiment at Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory
located in Batavia, Illinois. NOvA is a premier long-baseline
neutrino experiment and a flagship endeavor of the Fermilab
physics program which is making seminal measurements of
fundamental neutrino parameters. The UVa High Energy physics group
has been a leading member of the NOvA collaboration since its
inception and has had major hardware and analysis
responsibilities. This research position will be stationed at
Fermilab, with occasional travel to Charlottesville, and is
expected to take a leadership role in the NOvA physics analysis.
Applicants must have a PhD in experimental particle or nuclear
physics by the appointment start date, and must be proficient with
modern software analysis tools used in these fields. The
anticipated start date is February 2017. Review of applications
