<h2>Assistant Professor of Physics</h2>
<p>Virginia Wesleyan College invites applications for a
tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in
Physics. We seek a candidate who is committed to excellent
teaching, mentoring undergraduate research, and developing a
physics program. The successful candidate will also be willing
to work with colleagues to develop a curriculum that can lead to
3-2 articulation agreements with prestigious engineering
programs around the country. </p>
<p>The area of specialty is open, but candidates who can
contribute to other programs, such as environmental science or
chemistry, are especially encouraged to apply. </p>
<p>Virginia Wesleyan is Coastal Virginia’s premier private,
national liberal arts college, offering 33 majors, 30 minors and
seven pre-professional programs. Affiliated with the United
Methodist Church and located on a 300-acre wooded campus on the
border of Norfolk/Virginia Beach, the College enrolls
approximately 1,400 students. The Thomas Jefferson National
Accelerator Facility (JLab) and NASA Langley Research Center are
nearby, as are the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.</p>

philosophy and research interests, and a statement on
