<div class=""><span class="" style="font-size:14px">The Carnegie Mellon University Experimental Medium Energy Physics Group invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher to support our work at Jefferson Lab. The one-year position is renewable for up
to three years and the starting dates are negotiable. The successful applicant will work with Professors Curtis Meyer and Reinhard Schumacher on the GlueX experiment, but additional activities in other halls or on the EIC are open for discussion. The successful
candidates would be joining a group with a Research Scientist and 5 graduate students, and could be located eiher at Carnegie Mellon or at Jefferson Lab. </span></div>

<div class=""><span class="" style="font-size:14px">Our current activities with GlueX span a range of physics searches for hybrid mesons, the photo production of K-bar-K final states, and baryon-antibaryon photoproduction. We also support the operation of the
central drift chamber, and centralized analysis tasks and efforts to include machine learning and artificial intelligence in GlueX. Participation in these activities is encouraged and new initiatives are welcome.</span></div>

<div class=""><span class="" style="font-size:14px">We seek candidates with strong experimental skills including data analysis and simulation and preferably with some hardware experience. Experience with Root and Geant4 would be very useful. In addition, experience
in amplitude analysis would be valuable but not necessary. Candidates with a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics, medium energy, or high energy physics are encouraged to apply.
