<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman'"><span style="text-align:justify">The ODU Research Foundation is seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in experimental nuclear/particle physics to work with Old Dominion University's experimental nuclear physics
group. The successful applicant will be expected to take a leadership role in one of the experimental programs led by our group at Jefferson Lab (Newport News, VA). This includes the GlueX experiment and the K-long Facility in Hall D, as well as experiments
in Halls A, B and C. We are looking for a candidate who will also enjoy the opportunity to supervise our undergraduate and graduate students working on these experiments. Interested applicants should complete an application to include: cover letter, CV, a

<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Primary responsibilities include</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', serif"></span><span style="font-size:12px;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Preparing and running upcoming experiments</span></li><li style="color:black"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;font-size:12px">Analyzing data obtained in these experiments</span></li><li style="color:black"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;font-size:12px">Make necessary simulations for K-long Facility beamline</span></li><li style="color:black"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;font-size:12px">Supervise undergraduate and graduate students</span></li><li style="color:black"><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;font-size:12px">Present research findings at scientific conferences, publish research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and participate in the writing of research grant applications.</span></li><li style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12px;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Other duties as assigned.</span></li></ul>
