<div class="">The Experimental Physics Software and Computing Infrastructure (EPSCI) group is part of the</div>

<div class="">Scientific Computing Department within the Computational Sciences and Technology division at</div>

<div class="">Jefferson Lab. The EPSCI mission is to: Identity, develop, implement, and maintain software and</div>

<div class="">computing technologies in support of the Jefferson Lab Science Program. The candidate will</div>

<div class="">participate in various EPSCI projects focused mainly on software development, deployment and</div>

<div class="">maintenance. This position will have particular focus on Data Acquisition software systems and</div>

<div class="">Reconstruction and Analysis software frameworks.<br class="">

In this role you will...<br class="">

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Exercise software engineering and maintenance in C++ and Java<br class="">

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Work on Linux based systems and command-line interfaces<br class="">

</div>

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Perform data analysis, benchmarking, and validation<br class="">

</div>

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Deploy software systems for monitoring, calibration, and controls<br class="">

</div>

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Provide user support for software tools developed by the group<br class="">

</div>

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Present results at internal reviews and appropriate technical conferences<br class="">

<div class="">Requirements:<br class="">

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or Data Science<br class="">

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<br class="">

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Object Oriented programming in C++ and/or Java<br class="">

</div>

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Familiarity with Github or GitLab for code maintenance<br class="">

</div>

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Ability to communicate effectively with Scientists from other domains<br class="">

Qualifications We Desire:<br class="">

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Experience with Data Acquisition Systems and Streaming DAQ systems a plus<br class="">

<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>• Experience with reconstruction software frameworks in NP or HEP a plus (e.g. JANA, CLARA, …)</div>
