I recommend running 'top' in terminal.  Type '1' after it comes up to
get per-cpu granulatity.  Type 'W' to save a defaults file for the
future.

Type 'h' when top is running, and/or read 'man top' for a zillion other
features.

The kernel automatically balances the load across the CPUs quite
efficiently.
