[d2n-analysis-talk] LHRS Farm Replay Disk Space [Update]

Hi all,

Just a quick update on my disk usage on the farm.

I've submitted jobs for 1-pass replay (3He elastic & quasi-elastic, neg.
polarity) for runs 1203--1230. I'm expecting this to add 50--100 GB of
disk usage (the upper limit being an overestimation as a precaution).
This would bring the LHRS usage up to 450-500 GB.

I've decided to NOT do the skim procedure on the farm... it looks to be
more of a time-waster to rewrite all my code to get it to work there, as I
have a number of methods from my class saving various statistics in a
certain way that I would have to re-do. So, I am doing the skim procedure
on my machine at Temple instead (I've transferred ~95% of all
farm-replayed runs to that machine already). So the BigBite folks can go
ahead and do their 5-pass replays when they're ready, before the
decommissioning.

My goal is to have all my farm-replayed runs transferred to my machine at
Temple and/or d2n before the 32-bit farm is decommissioned on March 14
(thanks Diana!).

Note that when you log on to the farm, a warning message is displayed
conveying this info too.

Dave
