I noted this too...  Not sure why either.

I wouldn't worry about this too much.  The two root files were almost
certainly generated with different versions of ROOT.  One of the things
that has been under recent development is the tree layout and packing
algorithm.

The data comparisons you've done are (obviously) the important things,
and those seem to be in good shape.  <Phew>
