Hi all,

So in last weeks meeting, I have gotten the impression that the wiser
code fails to correctly reproduce pion cross-sections at our kinematics.
For example Kalyan had said during transversity, that the wiser code
differed from the data by a factor of 2 or so. Also looking at Vahe's
GEANT 4 simulations of the BigBite pre-shower energy, he is able to
reproduce an electron energy peak that agrees very well with our data.
However the simulation of the pion energy peak in the pre-shower is well
overestimated compared to our data.

Since Vahe is using the wiser code to obtain the pion cross-section, I
was thinking that these pion energy mismatched between the simulation and
data maybe due to the Wiser code.

I was wondering if we could calculate the charged pion cross-sections
using the LHRS? When Dave did the pion asymmetries in the LHRS there
seemed to be plenty of statistics, meaning we should be able to get a
decent pion cross-section (statistically speaking).
