Hi all,
I would like to give a brief update on the 12 GeV d2n/g2n measurement
proposed for Hall C (E12-06-121). This experiment was proposed and
approved at PAC30 and was up for grading and beamtime assignment during
PAC36 (which ran this week).
I'm pleased to announce that E12-06-121 received 100% of its beamtime
request (29 PAC days) and a grade of A-. Final scheduling of that
beamtime still needs to be done by Lab administration (I don't know when
that will happen).
If you're interested, you can find the initial proposal here:
http://www.jlab.org/~brads/12GeV/d2/PAC30/submitted_07Jul06/d2n_HallC_PAC30_02.pdf
and the update submitted to PAC36 here:
http://www.jlab.org/~brads/12GeV/d2/PAC36/d2n_HallC_PAC36-update_v2.pdf
The update took advantage of some significant proposed advances in the
polarized 3He target design to increase our x, Q^2 coverage.
