Subject: [Dcouncil] Jennifer Carter - DEIA Program Manager

Hi all-
As Rhonda mentioned during our last meeting, Jennifer Carter, our new DEIA Program Manager, will be starting on April 3. I wanted to share with the Council what we are putting in the Weekly today for your awareness.

And of course, endless thanks to Aurora for everything she has done for DEIA at the lab the last two years. Together, we have accomplished a lot during this time (and we have the DEIA lab report to prove it!)

Thanks all,
Rebecca

Human Resources Director Rhonda Barbosa adds, “Jennifer’s background affords her a unique perspective to tackle DEIA challenges. She has worked in and managed the areas of recruiting, talent management and retention, and has brought attention to the importance of incorporating DEIA concepts and practices."
Currently, Jennifer is working toward her Ph.D. at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and anticipates completion in December 2023. She shares, “I believe a strong culture of DEIA will help support the lab's core mission and position the lab for future growth. A culture of DEIA is imperative to attracting future scientific minds and developing our talent. I am looking forward to collaborating with my colleagues to continue the great DEIA work that has been started.”
Jennifer starts Monday, April 3. Let’s show her a proper lab welcome!
