[Deeppwg] Abstract for the DNP Fall Meeting 2023

Hello all,

Stepan, Rafo and I are planning to submit an abstract to the Fall meeting of the DNP. This would be a talk focused on electro and photo-production of lepton pair with CLAS12, mostly aiming at presenting TCS,JPsi and future DDVCS measurements. The abstract is thus fairly generic.


Dilepton photo- and electro-production with the CLAS12 experiment

Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) describe the correlations between the longitudinal momentum and the transverse position of the partons inside the nucleon. They are nowadays the subject of an intense research effort in the perspective of understanding nucleon spin and the nucleon Gravitational Form Factors (GFFs). The Compton scattering is the cleanest reaction to access GPDs, with the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) being the most studied experimentally. This talk presents new ways to access GPDs using dilepton photo- and electro-production. The data from the CLAS12 detector at Jefferson Lab and measurements with envisioned upgrades provide a complementary and unique view of quark GPDs and insight into the gluonic GPDs of the nucleon.
