Thus, while the first year of the former focused on radiation damage, we were thinking to extend this to include tests in high magnetic fields. This is a solenoid with a bore of about 20 cm capable of reaching fields of up to 4.7 T. Such tests would be a complementary to any magnetic field testing done at other facilities during year 1. Once established, the facility could, of course, also serve other needs, for instance to test sensors for PANDA or other projects. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE FOR THE FY12 (YEAR 2) PROPOSALS IS OCTOBER 15, 2011.
