DSG vacations over shutdown (Dec. 22 - Jan. 2)
Person: Start of leave - end of leave
Brian: Dec 4 - Jan 2
George: Dec 15 - Jan 2
Marc: Dec 18 - Jan 2
Tyler: Dec 22 - Jan 2
Mindy: Dec 22 - Jan 2
Pablo: Dec 22 - Jan 2
Aaron: Dec 22 - Jan 4


Status of procurements for shipping crate preparations:
The items we still need to buy for getting the shipping crates ready:
- all gas system tubing, fittings, and hardware for air-suspension system (waiting on design to be finalized)
- air compressor for suspension system (waiting on design to be finalized)
- Hand latches (I will order these tomorrow)
- 2" thick riser foam (I will order these tomorrow)

Shipping crate items that have been ordered but are backordered:
- dampening arms: 5 on hand, remaining 21 expected week of Jan. 2
- foam sheets: 13 on hand, remaining 12 expected week of Dec. 18

Besides the hand latches and riser foam, we have everything on hand to complete one crate.


General task list for preparing crates
Below is the remaining work on the crates that I could think of (it is not a complete list, nor is it in any particular order):
- Complete JLab shipping authorization form<https://misportal.jlab.org/railsForms/shipping_authorizations/new>

For six crates:
- Cut and adhere foam to wooden brackets
- Cut and adhere riser foam to bottom of interior basket
- Cut and adhere padding foam to bottom of interior basket
- Machine dampening arm brackets
- Machine vertical air-spring brackets
- Machine horizontal air-spring brackets
- Install dampening arm assemblies
- Install vertical air-spring assemblies
- Install horizontal air-spring assemblies
- Install hand latches on interior basket
- Install gas system
