Hi Carroll,

The EIC DIRC laser lab, in EEL 108, has a portable AC unit inside. As I understand it, a fresh air inlet needs to cut in the wall and a filter cover with a filter needs to be installed. I think the only requirement that the DIRC group has is that the room should be treated as a dark room, and the installed component not let light in.

One of our DSG engineers (Tyler Lemon tlemon at jlab.org) is coordinating this laser setup, but we aren't qualified to design/install AC components, and have no idea what regulations must be adhered to.

We have put in a FM request for the job (INC0106878), could you look into it and let us know what the status is on this project.
