That works.  Just wanted to make sure people we not pressing for leather gloves which I think would be less safe for people and equipment.
FYI - I did a lot of this for Belle II iTOP in Japan so have experience.

First of all, a very limited number of people will be actually "touching" the bars. Back in GSI when I had to handle a bar I usually used two layers of gloves, one thicker cotton, and a second nitrile on top of it not leaving any residue.

Folks,

You need to balance personnel protection and equipment protection with these.  Any gloves that will protect you will deposit surface contaminants that will then have to be carefully cleaned off to restore reflectivity performance.  Before many bars are handled, that end-to-end process should be developed with demonstration that the surfaces can be adequately restored.
