Hi Donald,
Those 6" leads are for connecting multiple heaters in parallel. The heater as a component should be rated for the heat, but we can reach out to the manufacturer to confirm the cabling heat specs.
I suggest using some high temperature tape, that way even you want to make a solder connection you can cover it:

McMaster-Carr is the complete source for your plant with over 595,000 products. 98% of products ordered ship from stock and deliver same or next day.

McMaster Carr is usually next day delivery.

Subject: ECal heaters
Hi Marc,
Each of the heater pads has an extra set of leads that I suppose are for daisy-chaining to the next pad. How should I connect these wires when I am daisy chaining them or terminate them when I am not? I would usually use a Marrett wire nut or something similar, but I don't think the plastic can withstand temperatures of 230 deg C we expect inside the oven. Also, are the wire coatings on the RTD sensor and current leads rated for these high temps? I assume so but I thought I should ask.
Thanks for your help.
-Don
