Hi Don,

This week I am setting up a cRIO test stand at my desk to collect data while testing the supply.

The test stand will supply the control voltage (0 - 10) to the supply and measure the output voltage of the supply.

We will use two of the cartridge heaters in series as the load.

We will also measure the noise on the line and have that evaluated by DSG engineering.

I'll send you an update in a few days and set a meeting for sometime next week.

Marc

Subject: ECal heater zoning

Hi Folks,
I would like to have a meeting to discuss zoning and power issues for ECal.
Marc, do you have any conclusions yet on the feasibility of the 480W LED driver power supply? In the attached slides I propose two zoning solutions: one using 49 zones with 480W 10A power supplies (like the one I gave you) and another 40 zone solution using similar supplies but with 600W 12.5A output.
If you conclude these power supplies can work, then I will set up a meeting to discuss zoning and control options with the broader group.
-Don
