[Dsg-halla_ecal] Controls installation update

Hi Don and Mark,

I just wanted to update you on the progress of the heater controls.

The 16th PSIC is currently being assembled and tested by Mindy Leffel and George Jacobs. Once, this is complete we will request an inspection for the labs Non-NRTL registration program before 16 PSICs can be installed on the power supply racks in the hall. Mindy and George will still work on the final four (spares) PSICs, but 16 is what we need for the system.

We may require some manpower help on relocating these to the hall, I will let you know if I think it is needed at that point. They are not heavy, but there are 16 of them.

The controls rack is approaching 75% completion, as Mindy is installing the last cRIO expansion chassis with short cables and thermocouple terminals.

The terminal blocks for cable shields and 24V distribution for the coils finally arrived. Next week, Mindy and I will work to install them in the rack for relay control.

Finally the controls software (48 channels control + 135 channel monitoring) is coming along, it is 40 to 50% complete.  I may have that wrapped up by mid November. At that point we will need to coordinate with the hall techs to relocate the controls rack to the hall.

Don, I am looking at your change (less) in monitoring channels. I'll update the documents on my end and send you the results. This should not impact anything on software writing time.

Some of this timing has been briefly impacted by other Physics division controls work requests.

I am still looking at system testing around the thanksgiving time frame, but there may be some shift to this schedule.

Are there any "hard" dates in your scheduling that we need to be aware of?  This will help DSG management prioritize our schedule...it is that time of the year where requests tend to pop up.
