[Dsg-halla_ecal] ECAL heater controls update

Hi Don and Mark,

I am currently testing all 48 channels of the heater controls to temperatures ranging from 40 to 50 C using the PID controls. The PID gain settings for all channels are P = 0.5, I = 10, and D = 0. All channels are operating as expected. I'll let this run for at least a couple of hours and then I will set all channels to 0 for the weekend.

The safety system was tested earlier in February, it works. Jimmy and I observed the software interlocks working earlier today. As some of the zones in the upper portion of the detector exceeded 50 C, those relays opened until the channel cooled below the over-temperature set point. In the pic below, the channels in the 30s with the relay indicators off are examples of the temperatures exceeding the zone over-temperature set points.

Next week I can demonstrate the user interface to Don, I showed Jimmy earlier this morning. Once a few people are trained, the full heater test (> 50 C) can be done by Hall A. If you can show me a directory where I have permissions, I'll put a copy of the user interface in that location. Then you can access it with your laptop for the heating test.

Regards,
Marc
