Hi Folks,</div>
<div class="x_elementToProof" style="font-family:Aptos,Aptos_EmbeddedFont,Aptos_MSFontService,Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12pt; color:rgb(0,0,0)">
I am proposing a heat test of the ECal detector in Hall A on Friday. Barring any issues, we would run the system up to full temperature and keep it there for a few hours until the particulate levels in the Hall came down. I would like to start the test as early
as possible to allow us to complete it before the weekend. Please let me know what you think of this plan. I am proposing:</div>

<li style="font-family:Aptos,Aptos_EmbeddedFont,Aptos_MSFontService,Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12pt; color:rgb(0,0,0)">
<div class="x_elementToProof"> Turning on the heaters at 6AM and bringing the system up to 70 deg. I expect no increase in particulate or significant odors at this temperature. This will take about a half hour to reach, so perhaps around 6:45 AM.</div>
</li><li style="font-family:Aptos,Aptos_EmbeddedFont,Aptos_MSFontService,Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12pt; color:rgb(0,0,0)">
<div class="x_elementToProof">At this point I would pause until Lawrence can get the hall ventilation system turned on and Robert Myles can pause the VESDA alarms. I am hoping this could be around 7AM but you will have to tell me what is possible.</div>
</li><li style="font-family:Aptos,Aptos_EmbeddedFont,Aptos_MSFontService,Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12pt; color:rgb(0,0,0)">
<div class="x_elementToProof">At this point I would set the system to reach the final 220 degC crystal temperature and we would monitor the setup until it reaches equilibrium. Probably this will be around 2-3PM. </div>
</li><li style="font-family:Aptos,Aptos_EmbeddedFont,Aptos_MSFontService,Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12pt; color:rgb(0,0,0)">
<div class="x_elementToProof">Robert will watch the particulate levels in the VESDA system to see if they begin to reduce as burn off completes. If the VESDA system shows sufficient drop in particulate, we will turn off the evacuation ventilation system and
once again monitor VESDA levels to ensure no alarm levels are reached. </div>
</li><li style="font-family:Aptos,Aptos_EmbeddedFont,Aptos_MSFontService,Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12pt; color:rgb(0,0,0)">
<div class="x_elementToProof">When it looks like things are stabilizing, we will begin cool down. I expect it to take several hours to complete the burn off. If we do not reach this level of safe particulate by 5PM, we will begin cool down and repeat this process
next week. If a safe stable level is reached, the test is complete and cool down can begin.</div>
</li><li style="font-family:Aptos,Aptos_EmbeddedFont,Aptos_MSFontService,Calibri,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:12pt; color:rgb(0,0,0)">
<div class="x_elementToProof">Once cooldown is started, power to the entire heater system will be turned off. The cooling system will be set to high to reduce the cool down time. The cool down will take around 20 hours but we do not need to monitor it the entire
time since power is completely off. VESDA levels should be monitored for at least the first 1-2 hours during the cool down to ensure they remain at safe levels. </div>
