<p>The heat up is proceeding very slowly with 12 zones turned off. It occurred to me that rather than simply setting the 12 zones to 0, I could simply unplug the 0-10V control voltage line for each of these channels. This will cause the power supply to default to maximum current output. I unplugged those 12 zone voltage control inputs and now all zones are outputting close to maximum power. They will still operate safely since the software will switch the power off to any circuit that exceeds its set maximum temperature. As we approach the setpoint temperatures and see the control voltage/current output demand go down and then I will be able to plug these 12 zones back in for full PID control. </p>
<p>Unfortunately, even with all zones active, it looks like the process will take far longer than a single day. The front plates have reached temperatures in the 210-250degC range, but the crystals lag well behind in the 85-110degC on the hot end and 50-90degC on the cooler end. Light guides are in the 20-40degC range. The HV is on and the temperature in the enclosure is around 34 degC with the AC on top speed.</p>
