I found in my notes that the previous cables were 10', is that still a good length? As soon as I get confirmation from you I'll start cutting the wires.

I'm afraid that due to some family medical issues, my schedule is not too concrete right now. It would be best if you ordered the supplies, so I can spend all the time I do have on fabrication. I haven't had a chance to look through my old log book, so if you could figure out the overall length of the wires it would also be helpful.

Dear Mindy,

Sorry for the late reply and for not sending in the request to this email group earlier. As you mention, we need 48 regular RTDs and 6 with feed throughs. I attach pics of how these RTDs were done in the past:

1. Pic of heat shrink around the RTD wire to support the soldered joint
2. Blue ferrels
3. RTDs with feedthrough structure. As you can notice, the short side of the feedthrough carries a smaller length of wire. In the past we used 6” to 8” of wire but this time, the pumping chamber will be slightly larger than before so I expect the lengths to be slightly longer than last time. Let me get back to you about the exact lengths on each side. Please go ahead and order the parts in the meantime or let me know if you would like me to order them.

Hey Arun,

I found this photo of one of the feed throughs we discussed yesterday. For the GEn-II experiment you need a total of 48 RTD cables, six with feed throughs, like the one in the photo, consisting of four twisted pairs and 42 cables with two twisted pairs.
