[Dsg-halla_gas] [EXTERNAL] Re: GEM detector schedule

dear kondo

thank you for sending the work schedule.
it helps me in coordinating dsg activities.

i want to remind you that infn has requested for its GEM detectors higher gas flow (600sccm) than what uva has requested ~300 sccm
this makes the gas system asymmetric (high flow for the front trackers and standard flow for the back trackers)
as we are purchasing the equipment (800 sccm flow sensors for infn and 400 sccm flow sensors for uva), soon this design will be cast in stone
i am sure all of you are aware of this.
if there are changes you consider, please reply to the mailing list as soon as possible.

sincerely
amrit

Dear Amrit, all

Once again, sorry for the late reply.

Please find attached the tentative schedule for the GEM installation in both BB as well as GEn-RP (SBS) frames.

- Like Evaristo this is a tentative plan and we can be fluid with the timeline.

- I tried to be consistent with Evaristo's timeline with the INFN layers into BB, so from your point of view for the gas system, the GEMs (INFN & UVa) in BB spectrometer should be ready at the same moment. I will refine the schedule with Evaristo's crew if and when necessary

- for the GEn-RP, I am shooting for early January for the gas system test in ESB, Here again I will plan to refine the plans for the GEM layers installation with Brad and we will keep you in a loop with any update.

Please, all feel free to comment on the schedule if needed

Best regards

Kondo

Dear Amrit and Kondo,

attached a very tentative plan for the Installation of the INFN GEM chamber in
BB and PR, based on the previous plan that was expected to start in Feb-Mar but
has been canceled due to the COV emergency.

At present part of the plan is probably unrealistic for the INFN GEMs since we
cannot guarantee our presence at JLab in 2020; optimistically we hope people
from W&M (and/or other local groups) can be involved in this activity.

Best
Evaristo
