Please see attached diagram. This is what Jack was referring to for the gas out sensor. I happen to agree with his argument and that this type of setup is what is actually needed.
The sensor is enclosed in a box. It could be a very basic aluminum enclosure. This has a hole for plugging in the phone connection on the side and the 2 push lok wall fittings. This would be placed as close to the detector gas outlet as resonable to minimize back pressure.
The GEM windows are large, gas back pressure will stress the window at the corners the most. This may lead to increasing detector leak rates and other serious problems over time.
