Hi Marc,
Sorry I have let this email slip. Let me try to answer some of the questions you had inline starting by +++

Good Morning All,

I did not received any responses to my previous email on the locations of the gas panels. I would like this information so that I can prepare the agenda topics for the Hall A GEM gas distribution monthly meeting.
Jack could you verify the information on the locations?

Kondo and Evaristo, could you provide answers to the questions about the GEM layer assemblies?

Regards,
Marc

Subject: gas panel and exhaust sensor locations

Good Morning,

DSG is moving forward with design plans for the GEM gas flow readout system. I have process majority of part procurement to set up the system. Chassis, panels, and component delivery will start within weeks.

I would like to confirm a few details of the system installation.

I have noted the proposed location for each GEM gas panel in red. Each is located just beyond an electronics hut.

  1. Are these the correct locations?

+++ Yes I believe the locations are correct

  1. Is there room inside of the huts for the gas panels (full size racks provided by Jack)

+++ Not inside the huts, there us no space to fit a rack inside the huts.

This is a photo of one of the SBS back layers in the EEL building.

  1. Are these dimensions for the cable tray accurate?

+++ Yes

  1. What is the distance between the baseline of this cable tray and the baseline of the next cable tray when the detector is assembled?

++++ I need to check the distances with the drawings of the frames from Brad, but either way, there is a need for flexibility here because the layers a paired back to back that defines one distance between the baseline, then there is 3 tracking stations, for GEn-RP where the gap between paired layer is a different distance for different stations and later with the GEp(5) configuration, there will be another distance between paired layer which might be another distance, so don't really know how critical it is or it has to be to define exhaust sensor/multiplexer housing system based on the distance between tlayers

  1. Are these numbers the same for the front layers, if not what are the dimensions?

+++ Nope, and that is another distance already provided by Evristo, I will give the numbers for the SBS layers after I consult with Brad
Best regards
Kondo

We will use this information to develop the exhaust sensor/multiplexer housing.

Regards,
Marc
