Hi Marc
Thanks for taking care of the issues in the gas system.
Anu: I suggest that you (with help from Chuck as needed) reconnect the GEM layer to the prototype panel.
Best
Nilanga

Subject: [Dsg-halla_gem] Prototype gas distribution system
Hi Chuck, Anu, and Jack
George has returned the regulator panel to the TEDF and connected the four channels not currently in use. He has replaced the faulty regulator, and all the gas lines are now polyethylene. Would it be possible to connect the system back up as designed. This would require:
* The four channels supplying the UVA GEM should be disconnected from the output of the four 500 sccm flow meters and connected to the standard flow channels of the gas flow sensor chassis, on the back of the rack (chassis front), these channels are labeled "Std Flow" (1 to 4)
* Four 1/4" gas lines should be connected from the manifold on the DSG designed regulator panel to connect to the input of the four 500 sccm flow meter, and the supply line from the gas bottle should be connected to the input fitting on the regulator panel.
* The output of the 500 sccm flow meters should be connected to the corresponding inputs on the back of the Gas Flow Sensor chassis input (back of the chassis), these are labeled "Std Flow" (1 to 4)
Once connected and flow has been reestablished, remote monitoring can be done by using this link:
Prototype GEM WEDM page<https://epicsweb.jlab.org/wedm/screen?edl=%2fcs%2fopshome%2fedm%2fdsg%2fGEM_text.edl>
Using this link only requires your jlab username and cue password, it can even be viewed from a smartphone. Please let me know when you are able reconnect the system, I will ensure the monitoring software is on. Currently, it is running.
Regards,
Marc
