[Dsg-halla_gem] DSG work on the Hall A GEM gas distribution

Hi Mark and Lawrence,

DSG is working with Holly on some tasks with the BB and SBS GEM gas distribution.

George Jacobs has developed a step by step procedure for moving the BB gas distribution panels and chassis to the SBS rack.

The procedure identifies tasks which involve pressurized gas lines, which need to be de-pressurized, modified, and re-pressurized at different steps of the procedure. These steps (Pressure Systems) will need to be handled by the Hall A system owner and the Design Authority. Jack Segal was the previous system owner. Also, Hall A would need to write an EPAS for the work.

After meeting with Holly, I think the work would happen later in July.

I have attached a short talk, the procedure is on slide 4. I would like to discuss a timeline where DSG can complete our portion of the procedure. During this time the racks should be disconnected from the gas source. We will send notification when the work is complete and ready for re-connection and re-pressurization.

I will set up a meeting to coordinate our work on the gas system in the hall.
