Thank you. We will likely be in the hall all day.

Hi Marc,
Would you have time to meet so we can discuss how this issue can be fixed? I don’t think we need all the channels on the distribution rack right now, is there a way to get some of the channels up?
Thank you
Ching Him

Hi Ching,
So the Regulator Output Pressure signal (pressure after the regulator, before all SBS flow meters) is alive and visible from the WEDM display. No other values for the SBS are alive or valid (for instance the Input pressure or all the channel flows). I have visually verified the channel flows on the flow meters.
We will work on this issue after the break, we may have to either come up with a new I2C signal extender or figure out how ECAL is using their Raspberry Pis.
For now, as long as you have pressure and it is changing, the system has pressure...therefore all the channels for the SBS will have whatever flow the flow meters are set at.
Regards,
Marc

Hi Ching,
This connector on the I2C extender board set could be or part of the issue the SBS Raspberry Pi cannot see the I2C components downstream so the monitoring program will not start.
I checked Hall A's I2C storage locker to see if there was a spare, but could not find one. These boards were developed by Hall A, so if there are no spares or this one can not be repaired, we will have to find another solution after the holidays.
Since you will not be using the detector during the break, I will try to make sure the pressure to the SBS is displayed so that you can monitor it from remote. The SBS/BB flow monitoring is not a controls system. All the flow meters are manual, so they will stay set to the position you leave them at. As long as the flow meters have pressure they will supply gas.
I'll update the mailing list later today or tomorrow with the status.
Ellen,
If you want to check out the board with the loose connector, it is still in the Hall on the SBS/BB rack. It is the one with nothing plugged into it.
Marc

Hi Marc
I don't know whether this is a problem. But I noticed a connector seems to be damaged.

Hi Marc
I noticed that the SBS GEM gas monitoring webpage is not working. I tried to restart the program on dsg-dev-sbc5 following your instructions. But the program would not start. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you
Ching Him
