Hello Simona,

The recommended direct replacement for the old Agilent 33522A signal generator is the Keysight 33522B, however, by looking at the specs I noticed that this one has the same minimum pulse width of 16 ns.

Since the minimum pulse width for the generated signal is critical for the LAPPD test setup, an upgrade would be the Keysight 33622A which has a minimum pulse width of 5 ns (1-ps resolution).

what would you suggest for an upgrade?

We were talking about it...my only requirements are that I can control the freq., make pos and neg polarity pulses, minimum pulse widths 10-20 ns or less, few generator function types.

Thanks.

Simona

Hello Simona,

This version does not have the GPIB connector as you noticed the GPIB slot is empty.

I'll find out if we can still use the USB or Ethernet ports for connection.

I found that this particular model has been discontinued and it's obsolete.
Any news on upgrading this signal generator?

Hello Simona,

Can you send me a picture of the rear panel of the signal generator.
I'm trying to see if it has a GPIB connector for remote interface.
I checked that the model has been discontinued. I also check it might be compatible to be remotely controlled with LabVIEW.

Thanks,
Pablo
