Hi Chandan,

I think we would use the full SBS system (48 channels) and just have plenty of spares.

We will look into the gas mixtures to make sure the flow sensors and gas lines currently installed in the chassis are appropriate and let you know.

Has there been a meeting with pressure systems and safety to verify your mixture gasses (pressure and flammable gas)?

In my last email, I overlooked the two polarimeter GEMs. So, total requirement is 30 channels.
Given that, I think 40 channels would be a more reasonable target -having only 2 spare channels for 30 active channels (~6% spare) feels insufficient.

We will be using Nitrogen, Ar-CO2 or Ar-CO2-Isobutane mixture depending upon the operating conditions of the detectors.

The baseline installation date is May 2026, although it appears the schedule may slip slightly.
The setup would be in the Hall A.

You have a rough channel count lets go with 32 since the current boxes have 8 channels per box.

Can you tell me the gas and whether you need anything other than the flow?

Lastly, do you have a time frame for testing the GEM gas system? Will it be set up in the hall or tested in another location?

Dear Marc,
We are planning to store the SBS gas distribution system for a potential use in the MOLLER experiment.

At this stage, we don't yet have a clear plan for how it will be integrated into MOLLER.
However, a reliable gas distribution system will certainly be essential for smooth operation.
Hopefully, the MOLLER collaboration will soon converge on a design of gas distribution for the GEM detectors, and then we will be able to access how the SBS system might be adapted.

In the meantime, I am wondering if you could come up with improvement (over the SBS system) for our future system (so, that we will not loose access to the reading and avoiding reboot).
Although, this is not urgent.

Please let us know if you have any questions/suggestions regarding this.
