Many thanks for the status report. The cable routing is a question for Probir. He will be back on 9/8.

Hi Eric,

I’ve tested the two voltage comparators that will be used for TM3 testing and verified they are functional: upper/lower for each channel works and can reset the unit upon a fault.. Final balance/gain setup will need to be done once the voltage taps are wired
up to the magnet and during powered testing. These VCs are on my desk in EEL/231 until we’re ready to mount them in the rack.

Mindy completed all the cables for the VTs and RTDs between TM3 and the I&C rack and they all have been tested successfully. All the cables are on the shelf as I don’t know what the cable routing will look like in the test lab. Has this been determined yet?

The machined panels for the terminal block mounting for the production rack are due to be shipped tomorrow. There currently aren’t enough terminal blocks in the small test lab rack for the full suite of sensors on a magnet hence needing the additional terminal
blocks. Also the plan is to take the production panels over to the test lab so they only need to be assembled once, if we’re lucky we’ll be able to complete this by the end of the week, but depending on the shipping time this might not happen until early next
week.

Thanks
Brian
