Steve,

All internal sensor wiring exited the turret at the feedthru flange and ran into the adjacent relay/control cabinet. The exception to this may be a few of the sensors inside the top of the turret. I'll look for the feedthru drawing tomorrow. We can then discuss options to make the wiring as clean as possible.

I have checked the hall layout and have measurements for cryo lines based on currently available utilities. There are two options for control racks in the hall if we want to get the local controllers away from the magnet/target area. One is in the unused HRS and the other is in a shielding hut that will be built for the SBS program.

Whit

Subject: CLEO-II temp drawings A00000-16-03-2350 and A00000-16-03-0450

Greetings to All,

Comments on Drawings for the CELO-II temperature sensors.

The dataforth module list in drawing A00000-16-03-0450 (sheets that have dataforth module shown) will be a SCM5B30-01D which is +/-10mV in +/-10V out.

A00000-16-03-2350:
The wire color labels are on the wrong side of the Vacuum feed thru connector VF-#. Should be to the left but see comments below first.

Whit - we should decide on how best to handle the internal wiring bundle. Looks like the wiring for a few sensors are connected to different feedthru connectors and this makes for a messy cable split coming from the magnet to the local control rack. In the spreadsheet, the sensors are wired in a nicely in a that the fours wires from a sensor go into one common connector (column I). but between this first internal connector and the vacuum feed thru connector some of the temperature sensors wires go to different connectors. One could modify this and run new cabling to the 41 pin vacuum feed thru connectors on the CCR instead of re-using the existing wiring bundle and connectors. Are these original connectors on the current lead can or are they on the original valve box?

The length of cabling between the magnet and the control rack. Need layout of the CLEO within hall A to see if set of cables will work for both the test lab and the hall setups or if different cable are needed. I suspect different cables lengths are needed.

Cheers
Steven
