Hello Steven,

Can you list the tasks that need to be done with the power supply for the 100 A test.

Are we going to read the output current of the power supply in the PLC?
Will we use an external device to measure the power supply current?
Is any remote monitoring/control of the power supply status planned?

Hi Steve,

Jack had me replace the capacitors in a couple Lakeshore 622 superconducting magnet power supplies, and then test them for use in the Cleo magnet testing. I ran both supplies up to 50A with a short across the output and double checked them with a DC current clamp meter. One supply (the bottom one in the picture) ran exactly at the commanded setpoint, 50A at 50A, the other ran at 50.8A at 50A setpoint (and the error scaled with the setpoint). I think that should be sufficient for the Cleo testing, so I brought them over to the Test Lab, and Jack said I should let you know they are ready for you. I attached a picture of where I left them.
