You're right and it does not seem like there is a lot of slack on those wires; enough to separate the flange some but I'm not so sure about adding connectors right there. I'd probably cut the wires at the small flange end to preserve as much of the original

The 25 pin connector may not be a bad way to go. In the future we may need to re-work the plumbing before we run the experiment or we have an issue with the pins on the feed through and we have to make a proper feed through. It doesn't take much to bump into
those exposed pins while moving the turret.</div>

There's really only 2 choices, de-solder/cut at the small flanges end or cut at the large flange end. Cutting will always be faster as there won't be any time spent removing the heat shrink to de-solder at the connector.</div>

The only suggestion I would have if they are cutting are to try and not do it all at the same location. As the wires will need to have heat shrink applied over the new solder joint it will increase the overall diameter. It would be better to spread this out
over a larger area. Have some of the cuts closer to the turret while others are cut closer to the flange. It is also another backup as to which wire went where.</div>

The turret can be moved back to the Test lab after Hall A has completed cleaning and welding on it - in hall A. The cables have to be cut to allow for this work to proceed.<br>
