[Dsg-ft] FT Hardware Interlock System

Dear Raffaella,

If the flow meter is not far from the cRIO, it can use the 24V power supply from the chassis. If the flow meter is too far from the cRIO, it will need its own 24V supply. For the interlock system our design is based on a flow meter with a 0-5V output to the cRIO ADC; this will not require a controller. Regarding the cable, the 0-5V from the flow meter uses a standard "D" type connector that we can make at the lab.

Thanks,
Amanda

Dear All,
we just got the quote for the MKS flow meter from the Italian reseller. They are asking whether we also need the power supply/control module and cable. I would assume the answer is not but wanted to check with you.
Thanks,
Raffaella

Dear Amanda and Peter,
thanks a lot for the comprehensive report about the FT interlock design.
We already started to procure the differnt components. We should be able to mount the whole (or the majority) system by the end of the year.
We would like to record the report as a FT CLAS12 note since it contains a lot of information about the system to be used as future reference
Let ma know if you have anything against
Cheers
