Hi Raffaella,

We have started the gas flow and will monitor the humidity throughout the day.

Regards,
Amanda

Subject: [Dsg-ft] nitrogen purge and humidity

Dear All,
as of last week, we were authorized to restart using the FT-Cal nitrogen
purge from the bottle in the EEL building. We reconnected therefore the
bottle to the bubblers located under the calorimeter to ti inlet tube
and check that gas was flowing normally. Since we were leaving at the
end of last week we could not do much more while to further check the
system it would be useful to check that the humidity inside the
calorimeter, now monitored via the compact rio goes down while gas is
flowing. Could you help us doing this check. It would be sufficient to
start the gas flow, setting it to give a flow of ~ cm3/s ( few bubbles
per second in the glass bottle connected to the inlet line) and monitor
the humidity sensor output for let's say 6-10 hours.
Let us know if that is possible and if necessary we can provide more
information.
Thanks.
Best regards,
     Raffaella and Marco
