Hi Matt
Relocation of the MVT mixing system controls to accommodate the
installation of the MVT mixing system on the Hydrogen Target gas pad.
*MFC Power:*
The mass flow controllers will be located outside. To ensure power
during outages we will need to locate the controls interface chassis in
Hall B on SFL3. Five MFC power cables should be run from the SFL3_south
through the penetration to the gas pad.
*MFC Communication:*
Per our conversation with Brent Morris, Hall B will need to run network
cable from an available UPS backed up network switch on the appropriate
subnet to the gas pad through the penetration.
*Signals:*
Pressure: The MVT has two pressure transducers which will be located on
the HT gas pad. Power and signal cable should follow the same route as
the MFC power to SFL3_south.
Since the MFCs are temperature sensitive we should add redundant
Temperature monitoring to the new MFC housing. These signals can be
monitored by the Hall B Gas Controls software and provide that data to
EPICS.

Hall B should provide the cable length for these runs so that DSG can
procure the necessary cable. The previous length expectation was much
shorter.

Marc
