Hi Stephan,

Here is an amendment to the status from the DSG;

George is preparing a P&I and a list of components to
provide for Dave Kashy for a system using premixed gas. Once the
components arrive (just a few days from Matheson), the DSG will
work with the design authority to assemble the gas supply system
in the EEL.

Authorization to procure the gas was just granted today.
Typical time frame for deliver is 6 to 8 weeks, however it is
possible for an earlier delivery (maybe 4 weeks).

Regards,

Hi Stephan,

Can you please give a status update on the Pressure Systems
program activities for the MVT and FT, from the detector owners
point of view.

As for DSG involvement;

George Jacobs has already forwarded the gas supply P&I
diagrams and a list of components to Dave Kashy. (3/22/17)

I sent a start up list necessary components for the gas
controls/monitoring system last week. (3/23/17)

Additionally, will the MVT detectors need to be tested in any
location, other than the EEL 124 clean room (For instance: EEL
125 which is the room right beside the clean room)?

Finally, the DSG will need authorization to hook up any gas to
these detectors from the system owner (Bob Miller) or the design
authority (Dave Kashy), and authorization may take many weeks.
Dave Kashy may be able to comment on the time table of pressure
systems calculations, examinations, and tests.

As mentioned in this morning teleconference, both the detectors
have complete signatures on their respective Operational Safety
Procedure documents for use in the EEL building. The EEL
documents do not cover operation in Hall B.

In addition to the OSP, JLab requires a pressure systems
analysis to be conducted for all gas systems. The initial step
is the naming of a system owner (Bob Miller) and a design
authority (DA). Bob named Dave Kashy as the DA for the MVT and
FVT.

In preparation for the SVT/MVT integration and testing slated
for this summer, as well as the installation of the FT in the
hall (You mentioned July), it is important to begin the pressure
systems analysis as soon as possible. Dave Kashy will need
documentation for the MVT and FVT distribution systems in order
to start the process. Per Bobs request in the meeting, please
contact him directly. Aditionally, please add <a

details) to those communications so that the DSG can be informed
of the status. As the DA, Dave will inform us when we can flow
gas for each respective detector.
