There are 3 different pressure systems to look at for this. We
should discuss them independently to avoid confusion.

#1 -------- MVT Test Setup in EEL rm124 --------

The 1st is the test setup for MVT in EEL rm 124. This uses pre-mixed
cylinders of 10% C4H10 in argon gas. This is needed by 29 May. See
the attached files MVT-P&I-EEL-0404-2017.pdf ( P&I diagram)
and MVT-EEL-04-04-2017.xlsx (Components spreadsheet) This is needed
in 30 days.

The P&I diagram shows the test setup we plan to use. There
are unknown components contained in the box labeled MVT. This
contains the Saclay gas distribution piping, flow control, and of
course the detector. The DA must have the details of what will be
used. The DA requires all component information to make his
assessment.

#2 -------- FT Test Setup in Hall B -------

Once the FT tracker is installed in Hall B, it will require gas for
testing. This test setup will supply gas from the Hall B target gas
pad behind the counting house into the hall using pre-existing gas
lines. This uses pre-mixed cylinders of 10% C4H10 in argon gas. This
will be needed once the FT is installed in July. See attached files
FT-P&I-Hall-04-04-2017-Model.pdf (P&I diagram) and
FT-Hall-04-04-2017.xlsx (Components spreadsheet)

#3 ------- MVT Gas Mixing and Supply in 96B Gas Shed ------

For an overview of the mixing system, I have attached the powerpoint
file MVT-GasMixingSystem-7-1-2016.pptx

There are 2 gas mixtures required (1) 10% C4H10 in argon and (2) 10%
CF4 10% C4H10 in argon. The two gas mixtures will be produced in the
gas shed by the mixing system. The gas will flow from the gas shed
to hall B in 2 pre-existing temperature controlled lines. The
attached files; MVT-MIXING-10-25-2016.pdf, MVT Gas Mixing System
Operators Manual Appendix.pdf, and MVT Gas Mixing System Operators
Manual.pdf describe the system function and operation. This system
will be required to be fully operational prior to 30 Sept 2017.

The very basic P&I diagram, MVT-MIXING-10-25-2016.pdf, shows all
the planned system components in 96B. The gas flows from 96b to the
hall in 2 pre-existing 1/2" OD SS lines, ~ 300" in length. These
lines end ~ 1/2 point of the South side of the space frame. From
there, a 1/4" OD copper lines will connect to the MVT and FT gas
distribution boxes, which distribute the gas to the individual
detector locations. There are unknown components contained in
the FT and MVT gas distribution boxes that this mixing system
supplies. This contains the Saclay gas distribution piping,
flow control, and of course the detector. The DA must have the
details of what will be used. The DA requires all component
information to make his assessment.

Nothing has been purchased for this system, no money has been made
available. Certain items tend to have longer lead times than others.
MKS mass flow controllers and pressure transducers may require up to
4-6 weeks to arrive. Time must be allocated for pressure system
evaluation, pressure test planning, OSP writing process, leak
checking, and pressure testing. The system should be completely
assembled no later than 30 Aug in order for testing to be completed
by 30 Sept. All components should be in hand by 15 July.

The critical path includes the following;
•Purchase Components
•Fabricate and Install Gas Shed Valve Panel
•Fabricate and Install scales and regulators for the C4H10 and CF4
Cylinders
•Fabricate and Install Controls Chassis and Cables
•Run tubing in Gas Shed to Connect Valve Panel to Temperature
Controlled lines to Hall B
•Run tubing in Hall B to Connect Temperature Controlled lines to the
MVT and FT Gas Panels
•Develop cRio Controls
•Test cRio Controls
•Test with Saclay and FT Gas Distribution Systems
