This will require a pressure systems design authority (DA) to perform the analysis, fill out the documentation, and make a determination if it can be used.
This will require a P&I diagram and a spreadsheet listing all components to be used in the test setup, pressure and volume of gas, etc. First you need to find a pressure systems DA and ask them if they will be the DA for your test setup.
I know it seems like much to do about nothing, but our hands are tied. The ASME pressure system requirements must be followed.

Subject: nitrogen purge
Dear George,
we are in the process of re-closing the forward tagger calorimeter to
prepare for this summer installation. We would like to test quickly the
circuit for the nitrogen purge using a nitrogen bottle in the EEL
building. It would be a very quick test just to make sure the circuit is
mounted correctly before proceeding with the rest of the assembly
procedure. Would it be possible to do it today?
Sorry for the very short notice!
Best regards,
Raffaella
