Few points. DSG is not HALLB. Informing HALLB does not imply the info comes through to DSG. Collaborators must get the go-ahead from HALLB. DSG cannot start work without HALLB approval. DSG CANNOT and is not in a position to PUSH HALLB FOR A DECISION,THIS IS COLLABORATORS JOB.

Subject: RE:[Dsg-mvt] [Dsg-ft] MVT mixing system - Lite Version
15 month ago, in December 2015, when we came for MVT-B2+SVT4 we had nothing ready for gas even if I had send email to ask for it
then George made it after some days
the line outside were made with old material
nothing was tested
when we plug our system we did not had any gas coming
I called back George and he dismounted some item and a dead bee was found inside one of the componment
then when we plug the gas and we empty a bottle of premix quite fast, we cheeck outside and found a leak on release valve
I found George again to have the release valve changed by an other one
I was still leaking, but much less, and made our test with it.
then I asked a change of the manometer used for isobutene (isobutene max pressure is ~ 30 psi, so can't regulate ~10 psi on a 3000 scale manometer)
today the instalation outside was the correct one (I had validate George's drawing), but not tested.
and inside the clean room we had to finish the job, with the hekp of Brian.
Stephan

Does someone know what caused the leak in the first place 15 months ago? Was a request made to fix it? If yes, to whom? ----- Original Message ----- From: Aune Stephan To: Matthew Marchlik , Brian Eng Cc: Volker Burkert , SABATIE Franck , Bob Miller , dsg-ft@jlab.org, dsg-mvt@jlab.org Sent: Wed, 07 Jun 2017 13:24:32 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Re: [Dsg-ft] [Dsg-mvt] MVT mixing system - Lite Version Hi thank you Brian, good job we have measure no leak (under 3.6 10E-4 l/h) on it perfect Stephan ________________________________________ De : Matthew Marchlik [marchlik@jlab.org] Envoyé : mercredi 7 juin 2017 19:13 À : Brian Eng Cc : Aune Stephan; Volker Burkert; George Jacobs; SABATIE Franck; Bob Miller; dsg-mvt@jlab.org; dsg-ft@jlab.org Objet : Re: [Dsg-mvt] MVT mixing system - Lite Version Brian, I will go out and take a look at the installation. Opening the regulator to it's max of 15 psi and performing the leak test with the Ar detector will suffice. Please let me know after leak check is performed successfully. We have a DSG meeting after lunch, but after you guys use your Argon leak checker let us know if there's any problems with the current setup. Matt, I don't know if you need to do anything prior to them flowing gas again? We have been using for our test less than 10 l/h since we arrived (we qualify our detector when leak is under 0.05 l/h !) , and only day time. Thus less than 500 l have been used but the bottle (10 000 l) is already empty. > > We, Saclay team, found the leak (~ 50 l/h) this morning. It is outside on the pressure release valve. The same leak we had found 15 months ago on MVT B2. The Eel gas system was not done properly and not tested either, which is surprising considering the amount of safety paperwork we on the other end have to go through to turn anything on. > > Bob gave instruction to solve it.
