[dsg-hallb_gas] hall B: LTCC S6 MFC

Hi Morgan,

LTCC S6 fill is complete. The controls is operating normally using a spare Omega process controller.

S6 is using the old S1 Omega, which was one of two spares. There is only one spare remaining.

I recommend taking the S6 Omega out of service. I have verified that It is being serviced with 120V AC and is not functioning.

Hi Morgan,

I'll take a look at it when I return from the break. For now I will set the supply controls so they will not try to open S6. I am not sure if the s6 solenoid is still connected to power.

Hey Marc,

This is a different issue. Neither the supply nor return coil/solenoids respond to the controls for Sector 6, although they work fine when connected to a different sector's controls.
The sector 6 controls also fail to operate other sectors coil/solenoids when connected to them. The associated 're-circ-it' circuit breakers appear to be okay. However, we're only getting ~95v out.
We'll need to revisit this after the break.

Regards,
Morgan

Hi Morgan,

I changed the set point to get the MFC to respond. It closes when set to 0 and opens full when set to 1. Sounds like the the supply solenoid may be the issue.

If you have to replace the solenoid, I would use the coil that is on the valve if its not bad. Just make sure you replace like for like.

Hi Morgan,

I just pinged both the cRIO (hb-crio-ltcc) and the sector 6 mfc (hb-mfc-ltcc-s6) and both are on the network. So it is not a power issue. The software has not lost contact with the mfc according to the expert panel.

Have you rebooted the cRIO, or just the MFC? I am still trying to verify whether we are getting data from the cRIO or not.

Both Brian and I are on vacation so I have sent this to the mailing list. I’ll contact the other DSG staff so they can look into this.

Marc

Hey you guys,

The LTCC MFC for sector 6 isn't showing any flow. I've power cycled and reset it a couple of times and it's still not responding. Can y'all take a look at it?

Thanks,

Morgan
