Hi,

Today I completed connections for the ALERT DC controls to the cRIO controller. All the pressure sensors and relay control for the pump are reading back and toggling.

Tomorrow I will start testing the pressure controls software to ensure it works as well as it did in the EEL building.

We will also look at the BoNuS target controls to ensure it is intact.

I will send an update later this week.

Regards,
Marc

Hi Marc,

Can you give Raphael a tentative date for the completion of the gas system installation?

Hi Raphael,

After the gas system controls are turned over, please add 2 days for me to leak check the entire system.

Thanks,

Hi Bob,

We had a schedule, in principle tests should be happening in the coming two weeks. First outside of the magnet, eventually in it. However, I anticipated that this was likely to be delayed. There is the survey but also the final gas system and other questions that should be resolved before we move the detector into the CTOF. We need to discuss with everyone involved at the ALERT meeting before I can give a firm answer. My anticipation is that we can reasonably aim for alignment and insertion in the magnet in the first week of January. I see no reason to rush this before, I will let you know if there are different opinions in the ALERT meeting Thursday.

>From your side, it would be helpful if we could get some tentative dates for the completion of the gas system installation. So I can factor this in with the work the detector experts need to do.

Cheers,

Raphael

Hi Raphael,

Do you have a schedule for testing ALERT in the Hall?

We are trying to figure out when to align ALERT to Hall B. If ALERT must go inside the CTOF, it must be aligned first. If it does not need to go into CTOF, then it can be aligned in January.

Thanks,
