Hi Nick,
No, that should be fine. If you physically valve off the flow you don't need to do anything in the software.
However, at some point (depending on manpower/time) once the detector is in position it will be switched over to the final system.
The current cRIO you guys have been using was meant to be temporary while it was in the TEDF, the final system shares a cRIO with the other gas systems in Hall B based on location.
